Teaching Brother Manners

I've spent the better part of the past two years trying to teach my slightly older big brother Digby a few things about housekeeping. First, I've tried to teach him that vacuums are for biting and we must avoid them at all cost, but he doesn't budge when it comes out.

He does, however, insist on drooling water throughout the house because he is, after all, a slobby boy. I bark at him to be less messy, but it has fallen on deaf boy ears. Or so I thought. Tonight, my silly brother FINALLY got the message to clean up after himself. He picked up the drool towel and began to wipe the floor with it immediately after drinking, and then drooling, many cups of water. Once he was done, he brought it over to mommy and asked her to inspect his work (here he is with rag in mouth, taking it to mommy).

A sisters' work is never done, but every once in a while, you can call it a successful day! Today was that day! Way to go, brother!

Prinnie. We're happy that Digby gave you a good example of one of the things he has learned from you, because we know ... without question ... we all learn from each other ... we just don't always show it.

Feel proud. You are a great sister.

Hey BFF, job well done! Your brother DOES listen to what you say and is learning there is value in your lessons. I only hope someday Quinn is as well trained as Digby...I am trying hard.

Hi Prinnie - it must be a *guy thing*. Oliver always snorts and sprays when he gives doggie kisses. The humans are the ones who need the towel to wipe off his yukky kisses.

Hugs and yips,
Cappy and Oliver(snort, snort)

You're a great sister to Digby! You will be a great sister to the new foster gal, too.
