Spring has Sprung

While brother and I were out back exploring the yard to see which pesky neighborhood CAT had invaded our territory overnight, I saw the first signs of spring.....this beautiful (and very colorful) hibiscus.

The temps were in the low 70's, and the sun was shining brightly - a perfect March day for me to begin looking for my spaceships again. I searched, and ran, and barked, and ran, and searched some more. I didn't find my spaceships, but I did help mommy with a project today.

My parents finally got a new composting bin, and mommy needed my help putting it together. I was in charge of making sure that all the parts were present as I helped mommy unpack the box and check off each item on the parts list. Once that part was done, the power tools came out and I ran. Brother and I played chase until it got dark and we had to go inside. Here is how my project ended up.....

Wow! Moma is in awe! The last composting bin she had was a big pile behind a bunch of stacked up logs, tucked behind an outbuilding in the big back yard! Yours looks quite different. Made us think of Eric the Square Dog, in London. He's taken on a Green Movement and has some rather innovative ideas about composting. You might want to go check out his blog. (Plus he's good for a really good laugh!)

Love ya. Lots

Nothing like being in the yard on a beautiful Spring day. The hibiscus was a beautiful discovery! It was so cool that you got to help mommy put the new composter together...you are now a Green Warrior! Keep watching, those spaceships are out there...I saw one last night (before I had to come in and guard the bed from invading Brother Eskies!)
