Today was a day that dreams are made of. First, we got our extremely tired bodies out of bed (you saw that in the earlier blog today) at what we would normally consider an illegal time if it were not a work day. So, so glad we did. We had breakfast served to us on our veranda. The local birds helped us eat our scrumptious food (little devils). We then put on our swim attire and headed to the beach. We never made it much past the pool and hot tubs that were inviting us in. Within seconds, we had pool gals preparing our chases with fitted towels. Next came the ice water served to us every 10 minutes. Then about every half hour, another pool gal would bring us chilled, lavender scented wash clothes to cool our faces with. Next it was drink orders, and after about an hour, massage services were offered pool side. We, of course, had to refuse because we were scheduled for BEACH side massages just hours later. A cabana boy took our order for lunch, which YES, was served to us where we had parked our butts a few hours earlier.
Ah, we could go on for days about the impeccable service we are getting, but there are only so many hours in a day.....
Next, we were taken into the equally awesome spa, sauna and shower services to prepare for our private beachside massages in a hand thatched open-aired cabana just feet from the ocean waves. An hour later, our masseuses rolled us out the door as we staggered back to the spa and showers. Really, it WASN'T the Mai Tai's!!!
Tonight, we went to Lahaina to see the historic Old Lahaina Luau. Again, not enough adjectives to describe how incredible the performance was. It was really encouraging to see the youth of these isles dedicated to preserving their traditions. Maybe it's just a job to them, but they sure didn't act that way. What talent!

WOW! What an amazing trip.
LOVED the pictures, especially the 11th one from the top.
Looks like Tiki Boy forgot his sun screen, better watch that.
Keep us updated because we sure don't see anything like that in these parts!

Could you be any happier? Good for you. I can almost feel those massages - aren't they just the best. And, how much do those coconut girls remind you of me. Truly amazing!!! This is sure a trip of a lifetime, isn't it?
Keep the great photos coming so we, too, can enjoy the trip along with you both and Tiki boy. He looks so happy.
