Duck Pond

Today we went to one of our favorite places....the Temecula Duck Pond. It was a great time to go, because there were not may people there. As we approached the gate to go in, I could see hundreds of ducks sitting on the beach area. It was then that I realized I had a TON of work to do before I could leisurely enjoy a stroll around the pond. I led the charge of our 3-pack by telling the ducks to get back in the water. I chased them, and challenged them. I won. They waddled or flew back to their pond, far enough our of my reach and that of my brother and sister. Every once in a while, I'd have to chase a stray back in, but when we completed our lap, I turned back one last time ans saw all the ducks (IN the water) waving goodbye to me.

Ah Prinnie . . . an Eskie’s job is never done. Apparently those ducks realized with whom they were dealing.

When we go to the dog park, *No Problem* Ollie is allowed to socialize with the other small dogs.

If I’m not under Dad’s supervision, Mom and I are left to the task of either walking around the park (avoiding the big dogs) or herding the Northern ducks back into their pond. (Mom would prefer to feed them.)

I also get the job done. My bark emits a high decibel level of noise pollution and unleashes a reign of terror for those aquatic birds.

The only drawback: We have to be careful of where we step on the way to chasing.

Hugs and yips,
Cappy and Ollie

Great job, my BFF! Ducks are very sneaky and you must remain vigilant or they walk over to the parking lot and leave not nice presents by your car! Best to keep them all in the water where you can watch them!
