Prepping for Albuquerque

My Travel Bag
I've been "hounding" my parents to allow brother, sister and I to go shopping to make sure we all have everything we need for our upcoming trip to see Siku, Quinn, Dragon and our entire heart family! Bratka still needed to get her own travel bag and accessories.

Bratka's Travel Bag

FINALLY, they heard me and loaded us all in to the car as we headed out to PetsMart. As usual, I announced our arrival for the first five minutes we were in the store - I am sure there were people there this time that hadn't met me yet, and I wanted to make sure they knew the Queen was in the house. Then I led Bratka by the paw to the winter coat area at the very back of the store. We don't wear coats here because it never gets cold enough, but in New Mexico, the early mornings and late evenings are chilly. Good thing we are eskies!! Anyhow, I found sister a coat that was ALMOST as nice as mine - and Pink.

I also needed brother to get a new travel bag to hold HIS things, because last time we went to see my BFF, brother hogged up space in my bag because his wasn't big enough. Brother selected a macho Nike bag, and dragged us to the Collar and Lead isle. There, he insisted that he needed a new "look" that would better match his dapper new haircut. He was worse than a girl - himming and hawing - unable to make a decision. Finally, I grabbed one and said "That's it - you choose this one". He nodded a half approval and with that, finally headed to the checkout.

WAITING for that treat!!

My work was not yet done. I had to remind the cashier that those treats sitting at her register, just out of my reach, were there for a reason - ME!!! After a stern reminder, she handed me my treats and patted me on the head. Mom and Mommy hid behind the cart - saying they were so embarrassed, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do if she wants to make sure she gets her treats, right??

As the days tick by, I'm getting more and more excited to see my heart family. I MIGHT even let mom give me a bath before we go. Just maybe....

Nice gear, gang! Thank dog, Digby and Atka (and Mom and Mommy) have you, my BFF, to get things organized. We spent Sunday tidying up our toys and "making th house presentable" as dad said so you will be comfortable when you get here. I have so many plans for us to walk over to Starbucks and go to the Park and eat at Sophia's and try some agility jumps in the yard! We cannot wait to you to get here...and it still looks like Daisy Mae, the Standard white poodle, will be coming all the way from Las Cruces just to meet us all! Girls, and white dogs, rule!
