How can you not have a good day when these three little faces are looking at you.....Duncan is wearing a monkey on his head, and Prinnie and Digby have fresh fur-cuts.
Just look into those eyes...how can you not believe that everything will turn out right? The love and surety those three hold are all the support you need to accomplish any thing your heart desires...trust me, we dogs KNOW!
How cute are they!!! And how true that they certainly can lift up your spirits when things are getting crazy.
We have a new granddog, Chester (Chet) who was rescued on Saturday. 5 1/2 months old and he and his sister were on the run for their entire life so far. He is not doing very well but he is in the right home to recover and do just great. His new sister, Patsy, is not so sure that he does belong there but, hopefully, she will come to welcome him. My grandsons just love Chet and they are all willing him to get better. Yesterday the Vet noted that he has shotgun pellets in his side. Poor little guy. His little eyes just look so sick as he has the kennel cough and now pneumonia. They ended up adopting him because they saw how heartbroken he was when he saw his sister adopted.
Oh Owl - what a great story!!!!! How kind that they adopted him. I just don't understand how people can be so cruel to animals...makes me angry and sad! Did Chet get to sleep with you while you were there? I know it must have been hard for them to get a new dog, but good for them that they did.
Picking up special needs dogs must run in the family, hu???? :)
Well, it is now Patsy who is 8 1/.2 months old and her new brother Chet, 5 1/2 months old. Can you see the old folks trying to share a bed with now two dogs. What a fight that will be to get a space. The parents say "no way" are they sleeping in their beds but mark my word it will happen. We go down again September for a week while they go to Ireland and I can see it now. That scene will be worthy of pictures, for sure.
Mommy adopted Patsy in September right after the sad loss of Sadie and it broke Daddy's heart to have another dog and at first could not warm up to Patsy but that soon changed.
There must be some relationship to you and the new owners of PAtsy and Chet, right? Maybe you could jointly open a farm or something.
Poor little Chet could not go potty for a bit but the next day his daddy found that he had left a deposit for him in the formal living room on the white wool rug. Cannot figure out he got there as he is so weak and there are gates at every opening but he got there. Same place that the former owner of the house went - the formal white wool rug. Too funny. They are all going to their beach house this weekend so we will see how the poor little guy holds up. He so badly needs a shower with daddy but they are too afraid to traumatize him. It just goes on and on.
Wow - I think they are braver than us - or is it crazier?? :)
You KNOW those dogs will be sleeping with them in no time, and then on your next trip, you might want to just bring a nice warm blanket with you for the floor, since you will probably be sleeping there while Patsy and Chet take over the bed.
Keep us posted on how he is doing - poor little guy. What kind of dog is he? What is Patsy?

Happy Easter to the entire family.
